CRUX is a body of works presented in gallery 3H+K (Pori) and Uusi Kipinä (Lahti, upcoming in December 2023). The inspiration for the works came from the idea of heartwood: inside a living tree, there is a dead part holding the tree together. CRUX explores this thought through wooden & concrete sculpture and silkscreen & risograph prints.

In addition to heartwood, the exhibition also touches on the theme of "ubi sunt", a theme used in literature which is a medieval motif depicting mortality and life's transience.
